Good News!!

Starting in March Puerto Aventuras has an industrial 30³ yard trash compactor with which the volume of the trash we throw to the city dumpster will be reduced in 75%
For this compactor to work properly it is very important not to throw plastic containers, bottles and other recyclable products, because they use a lot of space and once compacted they can’t be separated for recycling.
We remind you that the Colonos´ Assembly agreed to make trash separation mandatory, so each resident is responsible to separate his own trash, Therefore starting Monday march 15 we will not pick up the trash if it’s not separated.
The products that you should separate are: cans, glass bottles, clean cardboard, and PET (plastic) bottles and containers of water and sodas and containers of cleaning products that have the recycling symbol. 1 and 2. Please deposit them in a bag or box next to your trash cans, in the case of Condominiums deposit your recyclables in the area specified by your administrators.
